About this project
Heavy rain found its way past the failed flashings on this Charlton chimney, so the homeowner needed a fast, permanent fix rather than a patch.
The team stripped the old lead and re-flashed the stack in code 4 lead: a bossed front apron, individual soakers under each tile course, stepped flashings chased into the brickwork and a new back gutter behind the stack.
It is the kind of job that shows why traditional lead work still matters. Done properly, it outlasts any sealant or flashing tape by decades.
Work completed
